Tyre information
What does the designation mean?
Example: 205/65R15 91V
205= Tread width in mm.
65 = The height (profile) is 65% of the tread width.
R = Type: Radial
15 = Rim diameter in inches.
91 = Load index.
V = Speed rating of the tyre**.
* = If this information is missing in your dimension, you have a so-called base dimension and your height (profile) is 80%.
** = Fully approved cars require the correct speed rating. Fully approved cars are all cars from 1998 and newer, and most between 1996-1997.
Some examples of different speed categories:
Q = 160 km/h
R = 170 km/h
S = 180 km/h
T = 190 km/h
U = 200 km/h
H = 210 km/hour
V = 240 km/h
Z = >240 km/h
W = 270 km/h
Y = 300 km/h
