Intake System VAG EA888

Intake system suitable for VAG 1.8 2.0 TSI EA888 engines, developed for a perfect fit with both MQB and MQB EVO (EA888 Gen4) platforms.

Features:

• A full-length opening in the front that provides unobstructed airflow to the air filter.
• Optimised for tuned engines, hybrid turbos and large turbo kits.
• Up to +16 hp / +30 Nm increase on a Stage 3 tuned VW Golf GTI mk7.
• Increases airflow up to 44% with original turbo inlet hose (measured on a VW Golf mk8 GTI Clubsport) and up to 84% in combination with do88 performance turbo inlet hose (do88 kit240).
• Large, specially designed Dry-flow cotton air filter with tightly knitted cotton fabric for superior filtration.
• Washable and reusable air filter for optimal performance and long life.
• Compatible with do88 performance turbo inlet hoses, original turbo inlet hoses and all aftermarket turbo inlet hoses adapted for connection to the original air can.
• Reduced pressure drop and therefore stress on original components compared to original.
• Improved throttle response and faster spool.
• Straight and smooth air flow path design with no sharp or hard bends or obstructions.
• Provides an improved intake sound from the turbocharger and bypass valve (dump).
• Compatible for most future modifications you can think of, such as turbo upgrades.
• Quick and easy installation as it mounts to the original airbox mounting points.
• Works on cars with/without SAI, for cars with SAI, SAI filters are available separately.
• The air box has a water drainage opening at the bottom.
