<h3><strong>What are coilovers?</strong></h3>
<p>Coilovers are a combined spring and shock absorber assembled into a single unit, providing superb shock absorption.</p>
<h3><strong>What do coilovers do?</strong></h3>
<p>Coilovers raise or lower your car. You choose how much you want to raise/lower. Most commonly you can adjust about 35-65mm, but it depends on the car you have and the coils you choose.</p>
<h3><strong>Should I get coilovers or a lowering kit?</strong></h3>
<p>The advantage of coilovers is that you can adjust it as you like. For example, it might be a good idea to raise the car in the winter but lower it in summer and spring. The disadvantage of coilovers is that they are often more expensive than a lowering kit.</p>
<p>So a lowering kit is cheap, but cannot be fine-tuned. Coilovers can be raised and lowered according to season or mood, but are often a bit more expensive. In general, you get the quality you pay for.</p>
<h3><strong>How do you raise coilovers?</strong></h3>
<p>Most inexpensive models only have a locking ring and an adjusting ring on which the spring rests. That ring is screwed down or up, and that determines how much suspension the spring has. The hardness of the car depends on how high or low you set the coilovers.</p>
<p>On more expensive variants, you screw on the lower mount instead. These can therefore be adjusted in height without affecting suspension and hardness.</p>
<h3><strong>Do you have coilovers for my Volvo?</strong></h3>
