In general, you can think of it as applying to headlights as it does to human eyes: big open "eyes" look friendly, while slightly half-closed and angry "eyes" look tougher and more mysterious.

How do you fit eyelids?

Almost all eyelids come with pre-fitted tape. What many people miss is that you also need to glue them on, otherwise they will fly off at high speeds.
